April
22nd , 2008 - Back @ CiRCA + Live Video Footage!
Never
seen us live? Feast your eyes!
Pretty
sweet starwipe, eh? Apparently we're not the only people who thought
that we destroyed CiRCA,
because we've been invited back! So come join us and the rest of
the Tight Knit crew as we return to Randomland on May 9th -

The
guestlist is already exploding for this one. Don't miss out!

1st, 2008 - New Solo Mix from Adam Addison
Before
I get into the good stuff, let's talk about our gig at Circa -

We
absolutely murdered the joint, an outcome that I attribute solely
to the addition of my new beard. Everyone knows that you can't call
yourself a legitimate electronic music duo unless one of you pretends
to be from 1974. If you missed out, fear not, for I suspect that
we will be back sooner rather than later. Insanely hilarious video
footage from the night is forthcoming, so be on the lookout!
In
other news.
Adam
Addison, being the (illegal) worker bee that he is, slapped together
a solo mix for your enjoyment. Without further ado, it gives me
great pleasure to present -

So
make your way on over to the Guest Mix section of our Music
Page and give it a listen!

January
6th, 2008 - New CD. Monster Gig. Life is Good.

No,
your eyes do not deceive you. Yes, that is our new CD.
Live
@ Freakout is everything we hoped it would be and more. Grab yourself
a digital copy and ignore my riveting supporting prose over on the
Music Page.
But
wait! There's more!
We'll
be giving away 500 professionally replicated copies at our next
gig... RANDOMLAND AT CiRCA !

For
those of you who have been living in a cave, CiRCA
is North America's newest uberclub. Owned and operated by New York
legend Peter Gatien, it's unlike anything I've ever seen. When I
had the pleasure of visiting in November, I entered the club through
a bank vault. I proceeded through a glass hallway staffed with live
models, past the bar installed in the bathroom, and into main room.
My senses were assaulted by an outrageous sound system, a VIP cube
suspended in mid-air, and a bouncy castle. That is only the first
floor. There are 4 more. You can see where this is going. CiRCA
was made for us.

October
15th, 2007 - Boo!

Ask,
and ye shall receive.
Our
years of unbridled lust have finally paid off. After much cajoling,
we have been rewarded with a spot on Destiny
Productions Halloween lineup. As you can see, the party is
going to be monstrous! If you've never been to a Destiny Halloween,
you're in for a treat. Thousands upon thousands pack it in to
have their faces melted, and melt them we shall.
The
recent trip through New York proved fruitful, with ample opportunities
to act like complete jackasses.

That's
called intensity, kids.

August
16th, 2007 - End of Summer Spectacular!

Ah.
That feels good. Can you feel it? Of course you can. That unmistakable
chill running down your spine is none other than the sweet caress
of our name atop a show in Toronto on August 25th at the Opium Lounge.
It's been ages, eh?
This
event features our teaming up with the Bassteaser
crew for their second large-scale electronic music event, and by
my estimation, it's going to be a doozy. Working with the very people
that we grew up with affords us a certain degree of musical freedom,
and we plan to make the most of it. So stop on by, have a few drinks,
dance to some choice tunes, and witness my eternal quest to get
Adam to let me play more freaky robot music from the year 2034.
Ah!
But that's not all! Behold! My favorite flyer of the year -

Justin
Hannon Productions will be bringing us to Club W in Buffalo
on Sunday, September 2nd. We'll be playing a 3 hour set on the night
before a national holiday. You do the math.

July
10th, 2007 - Once More Unto the Breach

"Once
more unto the breach, dear friends, once more. Or close the wall
up with our English dead!" If
Shakespeare was alive, he'd probably be heading to WEMF 2007.
You're not going to let that punk show you up, are you? I thought
not.
Our
friends at Destiny Productions continue to take care of us, this
being our 4th straight year at the World Electronic Music Festival
and marking our glorious return to the 4x4 Main Stage. You'll
be able to catch us on Friday night (July 20th) playing right
before Jelo and Donald Glaude. If you're keen, you'll notice that
this is the exact same slot that we had in 2005. We absolutely
murdered the festival back then, and we plan to do so again. Don't
miss out!
Oh,
there's also a new Top 10 + some new pictures, if you're into
those sorts of things.

January
2nd, 2007 - Happy New Year!

Apologies on being a little late with this one, but most of you
were already in the know. For those that weren't, Adam and I had
the honor of co-headlining the Goodfellaz New Year's Eve spectacular.

It
was hot. It was sweaty. It was exactly how we like it. All of
our best to you this year!

June
29th , 2006 - NEW CD - ANGEL DUST BLUES

We've
been sitting on our 5th CD for quite a while, but the time is
right for public consumption.
Snag
your digital copy on our Music
Page. I'll let the summary on that page speak for itself.
Much like "Ghetto Cardio," we're having this one professionally
replicated. We'll have 500 copies (totally free, of course) to
give away at WEMF, so don't be a stranger!

June
27th , 2006 - WEMF! WEMF! WEMF!

Our
friends at Destiny Productions have once again thrown a monster
our way! This marks our 3rd WEMF in a row, and we couldn't be
more excited. In an interesting attempt to shake things up, we've
been taken off of the Four-Four main stage and given top billing
on the Nor'Easter stage - dedicated to American artists who have
helped to keep the Canadian scene alive and kicking. Look for
us fighting Krafty Kuts, Jackal & Hyde and Goldie for a prime
time audience. We sure as hell won't win, but we'll go down fighting.
In
other news, "Where?" went OFF! Holy cow. What started
off as a funk party quickly degenerated into a ridiculously hard,
dirty, sweaty, warehouse-esque rave. Observe -

There's
no way in hell you're happier than that guy.

April
16th , 2006 - We're not dead!

Hey!
Look at that! A gig! You should probably go to it. Hit up ONdaFLY
for all the info.
Ok,
ok, ok. I know. It's been awhile. Let me catch you up with what's
been going on.
Adam
has completed his BA in Psychology from the University of Toronto
(hooray!). Meanwhile, I've managed to parlay my U of C Econ degree
into an analyst position at a multi-national bank. I would tell
you which one, but I imagine that they would probably frown upon
learning that they employ an electronic musician. All of this
is hardly an excuse for not updating the site in 5 months......
but it helps.
In
music news, Destination 2006 was off the chain. Take a peek at
some of our damage.

I
wore a fake Bathing Ape jacket that I bought from Hong Kong for
$17. The entire night people kept coming up to me and giving me
complements. I didn't have the heart to tell them the truth. Suckers.
The
new CD is all planned out, and Adam and I will be putting it together
when he comes through Chicago during the first week of May. It's
going to be called "Angel Dust Blues," and it'll be
like nothing you've ever heard from us before. We're rolling the
dice on this one, hoping that it doesn't kill our career. The
results should be exciting, to say the least.
The
new single is also going to be finished in May, and it's called
"Slow Your Roll." It's..... complicated. To take a page
from dancerecords.com (my least favorite website on the internet),
it's a chemical-big-beat-progressive-rock-acid-breaks stormer.
Got it? Good.
There's
a new top 10, new pictures, and a new section to the Music page
entitled "Legendary Mixes." The first offering is Orbital's
final live performance at Maida Vale. Do yourself a favor and
download it.

November
29th, 2005 - Celebrate 2006 in style

Well,
we're excited about this one. Destiny Productions, the muscle behind
the World Electronic Music Festival, has rented out The Docks nightclub
in Toronto for one of the largest New Years Eve celebrations in
North America. So please join us, along with DJ Love (USA), DuMonde
(Germany), Dillinja & Lemon D (UK), and the finest talent that
Canada has to offer as we pump 100,000 watts into the new year!
As
an added treat, Adam and I will be passing out hundreds of professionally
packaged copies of "Ghetto Cardio," complete with the
following rather hilarious limited-edition NYE cover -

Even
if you are unable to attend, you can still snag your copy of "Ghetto
Cardio" on our Music
Page.

September
12th, 2005 - The Review(s) Are In!

It's
about time a duo as handsome as us finally got some press. No,
that's not us on the cover of Rinse
Magazine (that's Evil Nine, by the way), but the delicious
innards contain a great first review for "Duck and Cover."
Observe -
"It's
great to see new North American breaks labels (and this one isn't
even from Canada). Greg J's Funky Cactus Records from San Francisco
calls on The Beat Freakers for the third release. The original
is pure, funky breaks a la The Wiseguys or old Wax Assassins with
loads of guitars and sax over some nice, speedy old school breaks.
The Myagi remix is a chunky, acid roller, heavy on the bass and
dubbed out samples - full on breaker beats with a nu skool edge."
The
4/5 star review put us with good company, namely Dopamine's release
on TCR and Aquasky's new joint on 777. I would imagine we'll be
releasing tunes of their caliber in about 3 years, but until then,
we'll take what we can get. We're like that.
For
audio samples of the record and links on where to buy, hit up
the Music Page.

Aug
4th, 2005 - Absolute Annihilation at the World Electronic Music Festival
Side
photos courtesy of Rick Toxic
Phew.
Adam and I are just now getting over our gig at the World Electronic Music
Festival. It was an absolute dream come true to open up for both Donald
Glaude and Rabbit in the Moon! Granted, the adrenaline was pumping so
hard that we hardly remember a thing, but we recall having the time of
our lives. As you can tell from the pictures above, the event drew thousands
upon thousands of people, and the crowd response to our set was unreal.
Word on the street is that I played the air guitar in the middle of 2,000
people, but that could be just a rumor...
Our
first single, "Duck and Cover," featuring a Myagi remix on the
flip has officially dropped in record stores all over the world. If you
are having trouble finding it, or are agoraphobic, swing by the Funky
Cactus Recordings website to purchase it online.
Speaking
of original productions, we have at least 3 more in the pipeline. I have
a feeling that 2006 is going to be a monster year for our productions.
We'll also be getting a brand new website to accompany the original tunes,
so you won't have to sweat my bush league design. Until then, much love
and respect from the both of us.
